About the Club

Eastbourne RAFA Club is situated in the town centre close to the War Memorial and is within easy reach of buses, trains, the Arndale Shopping Centre, banks and the business centre of the town.

The Club serves ex-RAF and other ex-military organisations, with membership also open to non-serving members of the public. Many of the town's ex-service organisations use the Club for their regular meetings each month.

The Guy Gibson Bar, pictured, is well stocked and enjoys an excellent aspect within a spacious lounge with comfortable seating and surroundings, where one can expect courteous and quick service from the bar staff.

The lounge is also equipped with a large screen TV for those important football, tennis and motor sport events.

There is an extension to the lounge which can be sectioned off for private functions. Birthday parties, wedding receptions and reunions are all held here during the year.

The Club organises dances, with various artistes providing the music. Bingo and Quiz evenings are also arranged, and the club boasts both a womens and a mens darts team who meet here most weeks, except of course when they are playing away at another venue.

The Club has a friendly and lively atmosphere and is a favourite spot to enjoy lunch and drink during the day.

If you are ex-service, service personnel on holiday or visiting Eastbourne on business, or attending one of the many conferences held during the year in the town, we extend a warm invitation to you to visit the Club. Of course, members of other branches are also welcome to enjoy the Club's facilities.

Airborne, an event highlight for four days in Eastbourne sees the Club as a favourite spot for the off duty personnel to come during the evening for a chat and a quiet pint in the Guy Gibson Bar.

Catering

Michael and Janice provide excellent and inexpensive meals served personally to your table in either the Guy Gibson Bar lounge or the function room extension.

Michael has many years experience in the catering trade and provides a daily change of menu and an excellent choice of sweets most days.

On the first and third Sundays in the month a three course Sunday roast meal is provided.

Early booking and a deposit is required for this meal. (Unavailable on Mondays.)
